Hiltingbury Lakes may be one of the ancient fishponds described in the Domesday Book, with the lakes covering nearly 2 acres. Interspersed with the pine woodlands are oak and hazel trees. The lakes are located off Hiltingbury Road.
Marwell Zoo is a 140-acre zoo, it is owned and run by the registered charity Marwell Wildlife. The zoo is home to over 1,200 animals of 135 species. In 2018 Marwell opened its widely anticipated Tropical Centre, bringing the expected hike in visitor numbers.
