A referral fee (also known as “referral income” or “finders fee”) is a commission paid to us as the facilitator of a transaction. We may be paid this commission, fee or receive another benefit as we have recommended a third parties services to you. We feel it is only fair for us to be transparent on the fees which we may receive for recommending these services, this way you can make an informed decision if you wish to proceed with these companies.
- Various Trade Contractors e.g. electricians, plumbers, gas engineers, etc – 20% commission may be charged to some contractors/ tradesmen in return for being on our panel of preferred contractors. This is not passed on to our clients within the invoice, it is a profit share arrangement with the contractor directly and is regulated via a Service Level Agreement.
- Rent Protection Insurers and Deposit services – Up to 25% commission on deposit replacement products to tenants and rent protection products to landlords.
- Mortgage Decisions – Mortgage Services – Up to 20% commission
- Conveyancing – £300 inclusive of VAT
Furthermore, in the interest of transparency, a director of Charters wishes to declare their relationship with their associated businesses:
- Mortgage Decisions Ltd and Charters Estate Agents Ltd share common director.
- Trinity Rose Ltd (Survey) and Charters Estate Agents Ltd share common director.
